Who: Anyone ages 7 and up, with or without horse experience
What: How to build a special relationship with horses both in the saddle and on the ground! This camp focus’ not only on riding, but on relationship building with the horse and how this affects time in the saddle. Students will be playing winter themed games on horse back in a group setting and learning horse care and barn management
When: 3 day camp. Thursday December 26 through Saturday 28th. 9am-2pm.
Where: Pleasant Ridge Farm LLC, Cresco PA

Details:
Morning mounted riding lesson will include winter and holiday themed mounted exercises and games such as Hot Cocoa Shuffle, Stuff the Stocking relay race, and Trim the Tree on horseback.
Afternoon lessons will be "groundwork" lessons focusing on equine behavior and prioritizing the horse/human relationship with their horses through investigative “play”. Students will learn how body language and communication can deeper their relationship with horses in the saddle. Basic horse care and barn management will also be covered.

12:45-2:00 Let's talk horses! Catch a pony, lead a pony ,read your pony pals body language!

10:00-12:00 Mounted lesson - Stuff the Stocking Relay Race
12:00-12:45 Lunch
12:00- 2:00 Barn management- How to clean a stall, rules of feeding and picture day, Paint picture frames and more!

9:00-9:30 Settle in and tack up
10:00-12:00 Mounted lesson - Trim the Tree Pole Exercise
12:00-12:45 Lunch
12:45-2:00 Basics of ground work and lunging demonstrations and then students will give a try, talk about why and how
